how wealthy is 'sorority wealthy'?

I've read several posts that say certain sororities are easier/ harder to get into based on wealth. But how wealthy is wealthy by sorority standards?

It's not about wealth. It's about class. I really don't understand why people don't get that.

Every sorority girl from my home town is on academic scholarship or military benefit except 2 .. so they don't have to worry about tuition and some other expenses. Of course we don't know everyone's financial situation but even with that kind of aide I don't understand how those girls afford not to work and pay sorority dues. All sorority girls are not wealthy.
