sorority resumes
by: KAHIm a ppm and in the groupme for rush next year an active sent in their resume just to give girls an example I guess but she had a lot of pictures on it.This was surprising because everywhere I read about sorority resumes, they say not to do that and not to make it really pretty or anything, just professional/plain. Does it help to have pictures psychically on the resume if it relates to certain things you put on your resume?

honestly in a very formal resume for anything you would not have any photographs on it whatsoever. considering this is a sorority resume though, it's okay to put one headshot of yourself by the name title. i included a headshot of myself on my actual resume and i know a lot of other girls did too.
if you are going to include a photo, make sure it's professional. ask a friend who's good with photography or hire a photographer to take a nice headshot of you. you obviously shouldn't include pictures of you at prom, parties, social gatherings, etc. on your resume if you choose to include a picture.
you don't have to include a picture on your resume though. you'll eventually have to upload a picture of yourself when you actually sign up for rush so the sororities will see a picture of you either way.
also if you're physically mailing in the resumes/recs you can add a separate small photo of yourself when you send in all the other papers.
