They are usually listed top because of gpa not because of looks. They have some pretty girls like most of the sororities but it's their grades that put them on top.

It's true that they are very smart, competitive, involved, etc. but I think the only thing that makes them iffy is their looks. I know that's something very shallow, but it's a reality. Their girls, in my opinion, are pretty split even in terms of looks - half of them are pretty and the other half are a bit off and nerdy looking. They're definitely very selective with the girls that they take in, so idk why they aren't more selective with the attractiveness of the girls. Also AXO is pretty split even with in state and oos girls and at a school like UA that has a very traditional greek system, being very top also includes having more instate/southern girls.

They're a great house, but looks do count and that's an area they consistently lack in. They also lose out on some of the other top girls that go DDD and XO. I think those two houses are more laid back so some of the top girls pick those houses over AXO because of it.

Alpha Chi is a top house because they have genuine girls with good reputations, very involved, and the highest GPA. As a whole, the house has a great reputation. However, every single sorority has girls who don't "fit the stereotype" due to the pledge classes at Alabama being so selective. Every sorority has beautiful girls as well as girls who aren't the best looking (even phi mu/zta/aphi believe it or not). AXO has girls that party a lot but also girls who don't. Kappa's reputation as a whole is the "party girls" but they also have girls who don't fit in to that stereotype. Kappa is top tier because they have a lot of old money and are also desired during rush. Phi Mu is also an amazing house and they're known for their looks, but they also don't have the best sisterhood. I wouldn't say there is one house that is the best of the best because it all depends on what you're looking for in a sorority.

If AXO isnt the top house based on the fact that their members aren't that hot, then Kappa should not be anywhere NEAR the top based on looks, and they consistently put themselves in the top 3. How do you explain Kappa being top tier if looks matter that much? They aren't even as good looking as most middle tier sororities.

They are a great house but aren’t a fit for everyone. They are not laid back by any means and they are very split with a combination of girls every house wants and girls a lot of houses drop. The more “popular”girls in the house always try to recruit more of their personality but a lot is out of their control and they fake it up during rush to hide that detail. And truth be told there will never be an undisputed number one because not everyone wants the same thing.
