rushing

by: Tim Riggins

I do not go to school here but my cousin will be attending in the fall and he is very interested in rushing a fraternity. I do not know what to tell him because I have no knowledge of this process. I have heard that fraternities already have their pledge classes come school time but he isn't from this state. He is a legacy for one of the houses on campus but I just need info on rushing in general.

Legacies don't mean squat for fraternities.
Is he coming to a Bama Bound during the summer (that's the freshman orientation)? He can go by the fraternities then. He should contact them NOW by e-mailing and tell them he's interested. They may be having parties off campus or on campus to meet guys. Maybe he could stay an extra three or four days to meet guys.
Fraternities really rush all summer long.
