what does it mean to be a "top" pnm
by: Potential NewMemberWhat does it mean to be considered a "top" or "outstanding" pnm? Does it have to do with grades, looks, personality, involvement or a mix of all of those? This phrase is thrown around a lot here on GR and I just wanted to know what this truly means. Thanks

For the most part, it is a mix of all these things. A "top PNM" usually has lots of in house connections to lots of houses and actives love her and want her in their sorority (therefore she probably has a good personality). She probably gets lots of instagram and other social media followers/comments/likes from actives in multiple sororities. These girls tend to be pretty and have at least decent grades and involvement. There aren't all that many girls like this compared to the amount of girls going through rush so don't stress if you don't think you're one. But, girls who are top PNMs usually know it.

The girls that are tops are really tops in the connections department. It's not girls with the highest grades or anything like that. It's the girls that have personal connections with girls in several houses. Sometimes it's more like a legacy to a couple of houses who's been to camp with girls from other houses. Sometimes it's family connections, etc.
If you're from out of state, you're not a top PNM. :)

you can tell who the top pnms are if you can find their instagram and then, whenever they post anything, you see actives from at least three houses jumping all over it and making comments and especially if the actives are not from the pnms home town; mere likes or followers indicate nothing.

If that's the definition, I was a TOP PNM for sure. Dudes belong on their backs waiting for me to give them whatever I let them have.
