will re-rushing as a sophomore increase my chances

I dropped rush before pref because I didn’t get back any houses that I liked. Is it possible that next year I’ll have a chance at houses that I didn’t get to talk to in depth if I rush again? Does having a lot of friends who just got bids to certain houses increase my chances at all?
