girl im in the same boat as u . it sucks but i dont think it'll be terrible. the friends u had in first sem will continue to be ur friends. ur the same person u were a week ago and they're the same person they were a week ago so you'll def be able to hang out if ur relationship was real. dont stress too much everything will work out :)

I know it seems like a big deal rn because it was a big part of your life for the past couple of weeks/months, but I promise that greek life at Cornell is not end-all-be-all. You can still have a social life and friends beyond being in a sorority, and your friends being and sorority and not you won't limit you!

I’m a soph and I’m not in a sorority; all my friends rushed except me though. For me, a couple of my friends ended up dropping before pref so I wasn’t alone, and most importantly, had people to live with next year. Honestly, if all your friends rushed your #1 priority rn should be figuring out who you’re gonna live with next year. Your friends can get you into parties and whatnot with them pretty easily, but obviously you won’t be living in the houses and living alone/without friends sucks. But as for parties, like I said, if you’re fairly close with your friends who did join they can usually get you into places with them pretty easily.

I am in exactly the same boat and this week has been super super rough. I would love to meet more girls going through the same thing bc it genuinely feels like its EVERYWHERE around me right now and im just so sad bc I was so excited to join a sorority.
lmk if anybody knows how to somehow connect while staying anonymous on here lol as thats the point
