What is the process of COB like?

I dropped out of sorority recruitment because I did not get my top choice and did not like any of the houses I had left. I'm interested in maybe doing COB and I was wondering how the process worked and if I would have more control in which house I ended up in compared to formal recruitment(if I didn't want to be part of a house, I would be able drop them instead of being forced to socialize with them).

only a select few houses offer cob in the fall. u essentially coffee chat a few members of the house and maybe attend a couple events but its way more chill than formal rush. however the odds of getting a bid during cob aren’t significantly higher and the houses u want probably don’t do cob so don’t rely on it

it depends how many girls they take and if they fill their quotas (most top houses don’t do it bc they filled their house)
