Sororities: Incentive to Post in GR Right now

Expanding on something I read in the comments of a recent post that is helpful putting things into context for anyone reading this site right now. Worth mentioning most of what you're reading is LIKELY coming from PNMs, who don't know much more than you (a PNM) do. Therefore, as always but especially now, take everything with a grain of salt.

Here are the incentives for both PNMs and houses themselves to be posting on Greek Rank at this time:

PNMS:
-Posting to get validation in their feelings to:
1) Feel more comfortable in the final decisions they're making (either negative or positive messages about houses), or
2) To feel better about having been cut by specific houses (usually negative messages about houses looking for confirmation of those negative feelings)
OR
-Posting to up the online status of a house that they have left in order to feel better about joining on a status basis (usually positive messages)


Houses:
-Posting to:
1) Negate hate on their house by posting positive info about their house (positive messages)
2) Lower the status of other competitive houses to comparatively raise their own (negative messages)
3)"Frame" other houses for being active on this site by instigating fake wars/drama/smear campaigns/inflammatory ranks that seem as if they were posted by other houses (overtly positive messages about other houses to make them look active, or overtly negative messages back and forth about other houses to frame them for being active and hostile on the site)
4) Post posing as a PNM to influence the thoughts of "other" PNMs (positive messages about their own house or negative ones about others)

I hope that this is helpful. Moral of the story, trust your experience and pay no heed to this site. It's really fun and dramatic on here, but simply false all over the place.
