do tiers mean anything?

What's the difference between an "upper tier" and "lower tier" house? Are the guys not as cool in the lower tier or is it super easy to get a bid there? Does this matter at all?

for frats the tiers are usually based on mixing schedules with sororities. I wouldn’t say that the mixing is that correlated with how cool or close the brotherhood tho. For example AD is gonna mix with better sororities than a lot of houses but I certainly wouldn’t call them cool

Anything at the C4 mid and above will have a similar experience in terms of a healthy mixing schedule and fun activities etc etc. Don't worry about tiers unless you're below C4 mid then you're screwed.
