how to stand out on virtual rush

I’m in a c4 sorority so hopefully I can help/ease your mind a little! As far as showing interest goes, just be enthusiastic and optimistic about recruitment, be able to talk about why you wanted to rush, and what you hope to get out of being in a sorority, which will be a lot of convo second round. Also be able to talk about the most interesting parts of yourself or things you’re passionate about, we’re looking for people who would be good additions to our house and who we would want to be friends with!
I guess superficially be sure to look put together (that doesn’t have to mean expensive) and I will say as an introvert I did kind of have to turn on the extroversion a bit.
Finally, even if you have your heart set on c4, which I don’t really think is the best way to go about this, you should 100% be kind and show interest to every person you speak to in every house! Word gets around if you are rude to girls in lower houses.

Also shes 100% right on bumping up the extrovert energy. I am also an introvert but the best thing about having it on zoom is you can little breaks after each house so you can decompress and take a little social break before the next house. This is clutch and made me thankful it was online.

Tips for talking to people: as mentioned in the post above, talk about stuff your passionate about and what’s interesting about you. From this find ways to incorporate how this stuff relates to not only you, but bring it back to the people around you. For example, if you like to cook, talk about how you love to cook for all your friends and have fun dinner parties together.
To sum up, have the focus be on you, but extend that to how that relates to your friends and the people around you. This is show how you can add value to a sisterhood.
I would brainstorm some stuff that you can talk about with the girls. Obviously conversations can go many ways and you can’t follow a script, but if you can make connections between your interests it’ll make for easier conversations.
That being said, don’t take yourself too seriously and really just be yourself. People can tell if your not being genuine.
Also just have good lighting lol. Definitely makes a HUGE difference on zoom
