Where do I fit?

I know that this is not reddit where I can ask such posts, but I saw a couple of other posts where other guys asked the same question and I was interested in seeing if anyone had any advice or starting frats I can look for during rush (given night event invites start early).
I went a preppy/fratty private school growing up but do not consider myself preppy or fratty at all. I am looking for more a chill brohood but would like to still be able to mix consistently with sororities. Big thing for me is, I have significant campus involvements, part time internship, volunteering etc, and will continue to have these throughout my time at Cornell. So I would like to join a frat where there are other bros who do not have the house as their top commitment or activity but more so as a space where I have a good group of friends and can chill. Also had some bad hazing in high school so would like to avoid that if possible. Lmk your thoughts.

At least let the hazing somewhat match the clout. DU and ZBT, for example, are not worth it. Top tier is f’d up also, tbh, and even with the clout it’s not worth it

Buddy, you're going to have a very tough time getting a bid at a preppy/fratty house unless you're a varsity-athlete (or at least sprint football).
If you want your fraternity to be your second-commitment (behind academics & clubs), you should probably rush Mid tbh (Pike PhiTau and PSK have a lot of those type of guys I think)

Those mid-houses also have the least-grueling hazing and the lowest time-commitment during pledging. Sounds pretty much like exactly what the OP wants.

really just goes to show how messed up recruitment is this year. PNMs just have no clue about houses aside from the upper/top because there were no oweek parties or greeklife stuff.
