do srats have to take some sophomore transfers?

do they have a quota to fill? i haven't met many ppl since transferring here and am hoping a sorority will help me meet people but im worried it will be harder for me bc im not a freshman.

No, they don’t have to— and they usually don’t unless you’re a great fit. It will also depend on how many people transfer INTO their sorority (which happens if you join a srat at another school that also exists at Cornell, then transfer here)

Not saying you won’t get a bid, but it’s definitely more difficult since there’s no quota for sophs

its super common for sororities to take sophomore transfers in their PCs, yes its less than freshmen but thats just bc fewer rush. Some houses may care, but speaking from my experience, we really don't pay much attention to freshmen v sophomore

As with every chapter, if you’re a good fit you can join any house, including c4. I know people that joined APhi and Theta as juniors and soph transfers in all c4s. It’s harder but it’s certainly possible.
