by: freshmanWill rushing/pledging bring down my GPA? I'm taking 17 credits this coming semester and was wondering whether I should rush as a sophomore because I didn't do so well last semester and wanted to bring my GPA up? Thanks in advance.

Hi so I’m in a sorority but i have a lot of friends who rushed frats and some did see their grades suffer. At the end of the day it is a time commitment, but it also really depends on which house and how intense their pledging process is. Houses can sometimes bring up your grades too because you have people to study with, they can sometimes make you study, and you can get academic help from older members. If anyone in a frat wants to add to this please do, but I hope this helps!
