how to effectively rush?

If you have houses you like, visit them sometime before 1st contacts

Then you'll at least be on the frat's radar and invited to events

Rush can be hectic and hard to manage time, try to make a plan and stick to it

Find a good balance between time you spend at each house for smokers, at least at the start

Houses can be similar in social schedule/rankings, but very different in personality, brotherhood, house, etc.

Visiting more places will help you find a place you like, where they also like you back

Before first contacts, you have time to easily visit 6-8 frats across canpus. After 1st contacts, people start to keep track on how much time you actually spend at their house. So try to narrow it down to 3-4 houses. After 2nd contacts, you can really only hit 2-3 houses if you want a bid

Realistically if you want a bid you should be go to at least one smoker/event between each contact

For smokers, houses on north tend to get crowded since there are fewer and close together.

On west there are way more houses and they're more spread apart. That's something to keep in mind when planning how to use your time efficiently

id highly recommend going to as many as you can in the beginning. youll also probably find you like a lot of houses you didnt visit in the beginning. also give you a chance to meet more people

If you like a house, go to their smokers/events. Don't assume you're guaranteed a bid anywhere

Considering there are a lot of houses on West, this makes sense. I'd check them all out
