sig phi concern

Hi, I’m currently a senior in highschool with an older brother in Sig Phi at Harvard. He told me that during pledging they made him do elephant walks. I was looking to rush Sig Phi at Cornell, but he told me that the elephant walks are mandated by national and happen at every chapter. Should I just look at other houses instead? The brothers have all obviously gone through it, so is it not that bad?
