make your own opinions
by: PSAJust wanted to tell all the new members who received bids yesterday to give your sororities a try. Even if you didn't get a bid from a house you really wanted, give it a chance, and wait until before initiation. But most importantly don't make the decision to drop lightly... take the time to really form your own opinions and don't take what you hear on campus or see on this site as fact!

My friend dropped bc she got dropped by her top 2 and was left with agd & kkg Shes a beautiful girl with a great personality so its hard to understand what happened. Her Pi Chi told her to drop and rush again next year. I think that was bad advice. Shes from the North with not alot of connections.. Any thoughts on what she can do??

I thought she should've tried kappa too and go really bad advice. I don't think she realized that she could always drop out after trying it. She wanted ZTA or ACO and was too emotional when she dropped. Her Pi CHi should've encouraged her to stick with it instead of dropping

All sororities here have girls from the north. There were a lot or great PNM's going thru this year...maybe it was just a numbers thing. I a way, I'm glad she dropped instead of taking the spot of another girl that really wanted AGD or KKG. That's not fair either. She should get to know girls from all chapters this year and go thru rush again next year. Who knows, she might change her mind once she gets to know people.

I can understand dropping AGD but what was her issue with KKG? They are getting better every year and if she's from the north she really didn't have too many options.
