round 3

I know the process is hard. But remember that these sororities do not actually know you. At most you have been in the house for an hour or two. Keep your head up! Try to keep in an open mind, even if you were dropped from "top houses". You still probably have some great options! And if you were completely dropped, see about possibly getting a snap bid or maybe trying rush in the spring. There are plenty of options, so try not to get discouraged! I am in a "lower tier" sorority, and i absolutely love it. In my opinion, my sorority has the best sisterhood at USC. Unfortunately rush is a superficial process. The reason it is this way is because there are thousands of girls going through rush. I wish we could invite girls over to houses on regular normal day, for example on a Tuesday for lunch. That way girls could actually see what my sorority along with other chapters are really like, and then us as a chapter would better connect with pmns. But please try to see the positive! Things will workout!

Everything said on this thread is so true! When I went through I remember getting cut by two houses I really liked at this point and then having three left I liked and 2 left that I felt ehh about. When I took the time to really embrace my list I realized the house for me had been there the whole time and have loved it ever since. Just be positive and remember where you had the most naturally flowing conversations.

Thank you so much for your words or wisdom. I think it would be better to have rush at the beginning of 2nd semester like some other schools do. That way we could get a better idea of each sorority before rush. I was cut by 2 of my favorites but am thankful to be going back to 3 houses that I feel I could be happy in plus some others I'm trying to give a chance.
