just to be clear (the myth of a "top 8")

"Top tier" or "upper middle" tier just implies most membership, money, national support and history on campus. In some ways this makes a difference, for example, the upper tier frats have their own lavish houses due to their history, money and support wheras some newer frats don't have the means to have a full fledged "frat castle".

But really to say straight up that any fraternity "sucks" is soooo wrong. That's like saying all the people in it objectively suck which is impossible to say. I mean for example, Sig Ep which is "bottom tier" still gets some of the best grades and offers outstanding connections because they recruit really motivated and well intended guys.

Not every fraternity is based on being cliquey, only recruiting kids with connections, acting a fool downtown and throwing bangers in the house. Yall need to understand that fraternities are every bit as diverse as the individuals that compose them and to say that some frats aren't good just because they aren't as party oriented as others is really dumb.
