a different perspective
by: NativeI'll be going through Sorority rush this fall. I've lived in a small town in S.C. my whole life and know everybody here. I can't wait to meet new people when I get to USC and that includes people from all over the U.S. What I want to know is why do sororities get bashed for taking girls from other areas of the country, especially, "horrors" the North? We're all Americans and S.C. doesn't have a big wall and moat around it, although I think some people would like that. I'm going into Rush with an open mind and can't wait to have sisters from everywhere.

Good for you! I will be a Soph. next year and I am from the dreaded North. I went through rush last year and joined a sorority that I love. I just have to add that I have met great girls from everywhere. However, the most two faced/talk behind your back girls are definitely Southern. They are nice to your face and talk -hit behind your back. Not nice! Good luck going through rush "Native".
