fraternities

I'm an incoming freshman at USC and am interested in rushing a fraternity. I see all these posts about fraternities being exclusive to southerners and being from the north it seems as if I will never get a bid. Thoughts?

...there are a few fraternities who cut based on region...most base their selection on the individual...don't assume anything...
