spring
by: FallWell I didn't get contacted by a sorority which kind of sucks but I'll just do formal rush in the fall as a junior I guess. Is that a good idea or should I just not do it at all? Please no rude comments lol

They're voting in sorority council to lower quota to like 340 instead of 380 so instead of like 9 or 10 houses having to do spring rush only about 1-3 will have to. However, I would definitely recommend formal recruitment because it's the best way to get a taste of all the houses. If you just spring rush just one house, there's always that "what could have been" type of regret wishing you had fall rushed.

I did as a sophomore last year and my pi chi group had 3 juniors, they all got a bid! Just make sure your GPA is above a 3.0 because they really look at that with the older girls. I considered doing spring rush as a freshman just because I didn't want to wait that extra semester, but ultimately decided I would have a better chance to see EACH house, talk to girls in each house and decide which one was really right for me if I waited and it worked out for the best!! Spring rush they only see you as a piece of paper, fall rush you have the chance to make a physical impression.
