honest opinions
by: newI've been checking out fraternity life this semester and am trying to figure out which ones I should focus on when rushing either in the Spring or next fall. From talking to people I feel like I would like to look more at Pi Kapp, Sigma Chi, and Beta. What are some objective pros and cons to each that y'all have observers?

Sigma chi is southern and well regarded
Pi kapp is midatlantic and southern and well regarded but tier below sigma chi.
Both are considered great fraternities.
Beta is new and try hards and has(d) non traditional brothers - lifestyle choice wise - but also some really totally fratty bro frat stars. Not super well respected right now.

Sigma Chi: lots of Atlanta kids who are your typical frat stars but they have a lot of money and have a good social life because of it. bottom of the top tier
Pi Kapp: DMV guys that are kind of like a more northern sigma chi honestly. just a little less popular and have some weirder brothers. probably the top middle tier house
Beta: the older guys are weird but they have gotten good pledge classes since they have been in the house and are way better than they used to be. an ok middle tier house. girls like em and guys don't.
Overall all are pretty respectable to join it just depends on what you are looking for

Fraternity rush this spring will be interesting cuz the way half the kids from formal recruitment period weren't able to see all houses (some kids actually do get bids off formal rush, in some houses), I think we'll see larger spring classes in the fraternities that didn't get in too much trouble this fall, then we would normally. Keep your mind and options open.
