help with spring rush

I'm a freshman that went through formal recruitment and dropped. I really regret and I want to try spring rush because I really want to be in a sorority. I am really just looking for advice because I'm not in involved in anything else on campus (yet) and I don't know if that will hurt my chances for the spring. I am really just looking for pointers for what to do to start preparing for spring rush. Thanks!
