Am I less likely to get into a sorority because I am from New England and the opposite of a "southern girl" ??

not anymore there are northerners in all the sororities now - not exclusive like usc used to be. might be negligibly harder for the top tier sororities but not really.

no all the sororities have Yankees now... it actually kind of sucks. would rather see sororities with more southern girls be considered more exclusive but that's the way it is now.

Sisterhood with 300+ is ridiculous.

You'll get in, sororities are pledge classes of 140+ now. It doesn't matter, the sisterhood aspect has gone away along with exclusivity. Girls only don't get bids if they personally drop out or they don't meet the grade and other requirements. It's really sad how uncompetitive it's become. But I guess no one can get their feelings hurt anymore, and everyone has to fit in.
