pi phi...the next alpha gam?
by: Hmm
With Pi Beta Phi colonizing and beginning recruitment in September, I'd love to know everyone's opinions. As we all know, Alpha Gam started here at USC about 4 (maybe 5?) years ago. Many attribute their "bottom tier" status to the short amount of time they've had on campus, while others claim that "the excuse about only being bottom because they are new is tired. they are bottom because they are bottom, regardless of whether they are new or not."
That being said, what do we think will be Pi Phi's Greek status? I'm really hoping they do well...especially because they have an entire recruitment team here to get them all set up! Do you think that will help them?
I was a PNM during recruitment this year and dropped out....regretted that decision literally the next day! I'm thinking about joining Pi Phi because I'm sure there will be lots of leadership opportunities...but I'd also like to participate in informal spring rush. Point is, if Pi Phi is going to be a very very bottom tier sorority, I'd rather just wait until spring. Thoughts?

As a proud Alpha Gam, I'm really offended by this. My sorority is amazing because it's the best fit for me. If you want to join a sorority because of the status, you're at the wrong place. I'm beyond happy in my bottom tier sorority and we don't need this kind of attitude in Greek life.
