rushing

I'm a girl rushing this fall, and I am a minority (not black). Is there any advice anyone could give to us minority girls? There's no use in pretending that we'll be compared fairly to girls who are your typical southern belle.
What I'm trying to say is that I know it's going to be a little extra competitive for us. But as any other minority and American girl, I have a lot to offer and I'm excited to rush! Any advice for how to make ourselves stand out?
