legacy related
by: questionDoes a legacy have to be blood related such as cousins, aunts, and uncles, or does it have to be within the immediate family such as parents, siblings, and grandparents?
#1 by: Legacy
A legacy has to be in direct line; there are no 'indirect' legacies through a cousin or aunt/uncle for any national sorority/fraternity. Legacy is only through parents, siblings, grandparents. Some also allow great-grands. As far as steps and halfs, some will only let blood relations count, others allow the initiated member to decide if they want a step or half relation to count as their legacy. Tri Delta nationals do not have a legacy policy and leave it up to their chapters to decide legacy or not.

Forgot to say that XO does not count granddaughters, only daughters and sisters.
