No, most houses did not take 8. Agam only had to do that because so many declined their bids.

Some took zero (like aphi, kd, pi phi, zeta), some took 1-2 like (gphi) some took 4-5 (like aoii), some took 8 (like agam) and some tried to get more and were not successful. They did this immediately after rush but before they posted their pc to try to make it look like it didn’t happen.
