sorority dues

by: Curious

I am confused about how it works when it comes to paying. Do you pay your new member fees and start paying monthly? Or do your new member fees cover first semester. Also the next semester do you pay a bulk of fees and then also pay monthly?

I can't speak for all sororities, but my first semester was the most expensive, but it was all spread out throughout the semester. You'll have multiple fees that come along with being a new member. After you're initiated, you should just have chapter dues to pay monthly.

So that's where you pay the monthly fee. That makes more sense. So the first semester you had to pay more than the new member few that is online?

I think that it ends up coming to around what they tell you online at the end of the semester, but I'm not 100% sure. I think the number they put online is how much a new member typically pays their first semester.
