My sorority "tries" to remain loyal to legacies but it is not a guarantee you are in or will be invited back. We look at the whole person (reputation, grades, personality, grooming, social networking pages etc). Not just one aspect. We want girls who are well rounded and will a good sister.

Take a look at the UGA Sorority websites. There you get some information about the philanthropies, socials, values and pledge requirements. These websites are much more positive and accurate than this site.

do NOT think the lists below are correct. Many of the so called top sororities have had problems with quotas over the past few years. They are trying to cover up that the list has shifted. Since there are only about 20 people that comment on this site, you are getting a very skewed and biased view.

I personally think that all the sororites are really strong at UGA. They are all different with different personalities but that's what makes a strong Greek system. If you look at the sorority websites, they all have beautiful girls, great philanthropy projects and leadership opportunities for their members. Yes--some groups may be more "social" than others (meaning their focus is on parties and mixers with the "best" fraternities) but not all PNM's join a sorority for those reasons. Some PNM's look for strong academics, some look for a strong sisterhood, and some look for a strong social chapter. Some chapters are more down to earth and some are more social climbers. All the groups at UGA have strong nationals so there's a great place for all PNM's. Keep an open mind during recruitment and pick the house that feels like "home"
