sorority comments

The "best" sorority is the sorority YOU are in. PNMs- You're about to be in college...you're not in high school anymore. Who cares what the reputation of a sorority is, or what the rest of UGA thinks of them, or if they're "top tier" or not? If you LOVE a house during recruitment and they offer you a bid, TAKE IT!

Think of it this way, UGA is super competitive in terms of greek life, so ANY chapter here is going to be top tier at another school. Every chapter is great at UGA, so go in with a completely open mind!

Agreed with below, this is not high school anymore and you need to think for yourself. One of the things that sororities give each lady in them is the opportunity for leadership positions which will teach you a lot about organizational development and managing people. Also, there are leadership positions with sororities after college as an alum of a sorority as well. Think about what you really want out of your college greek life and go into rush looking for the house that best matches your goals and hope that they like you as well, but don't just pick one house, become familiar with several where you could be happy.

i said BESIDES the crime reports, there isn't much that i believe. especially since the paper is incredibly biased AND anti-greek.

are going to be a lot of disappointed PNMs if they go into rush thinking they are going to get a bid with whoever they want. Sure, it works for some but on the whole I remember during my rush seeing a lot of crying girls. I agree on the whole the sorority picks you but really you end up where your suppose to be and the top 11/12 houses at UGA are all good, solid houses.

What is going on on SK's board? It looks like they have been self ranking for days. Someone is canceling them out but not at the rate that SK keeps manipulating the board by continuing with their high rnarks of 5's and occasional 1's. They ranked about 10 times yesterday to only 5 canceling sets of 1's. I wouldn't say anyone is hating on SK. THey are just calling them out for such desperation. Sk must really have self esteem issues when it comes to rush. So sad.

I doubt it is an SK. I don't know any who would waste their time on here. Someone else is playing games on the SK board. I hope it stops and they can have a good rush. They don't deserve the negative attention. Well unless it is an SK and then they do deserve to be called out.

ALSO< go to Phi Mu's board and call them out for days of self ranking. It's only fair.

While you are calling out SK and Phi Mu for self ranking, can you also call out KD, ADPi, DG, DZ, AOPi, AXO, AGD, PiPhi, DDD, ZTA, XO, Theta, GPB, KKG, and SDT for self ranking and bashing each others sororities too??? Grow up hypocrites! This is college people not middle school!

People need to grow up. So what if sk, phimu, whoever is self ranking.. any house who gets above a 2 is considered a self ranker... I guess people are forgetting to mention the fact SK has been getting hated on by the same insecure girl this whole week. I almost feel bad for her and the need she has to cancel out every comment sk gets with ones. and Below is so true. EVERYONE self ranks.. its way better than bashing other houses.
