You are guaranteed a bid if you are invited to pref round and put both houses you attend, or just the one if that's all you had, on your MRABA card. If you only have one house and put them down you are getting that bid. If you have two houses you could go to either one but odds are you will get your first ranked house. If you attend two prefs and only put one down on your card you are not guaranteed a bid at all.
