What’s the difference between any two sorority's? They’re different houses, with different girls, different philanthropy’s, and different values. Both of them do have more of an emphasis on inclusion and diversity than some other house, but that’s about it. Go through the rounds and learn for yourself and get off Greekrank!

honestly they are kinda similar i would say dg seems more boring and typical, also they tend to try to be obsessed with calling themselves “mid tier” and like wanting to be better than they are where as dphies i’ve met dont really care about rank and don’t care that they’re considered “bottom” they just love their sorority for what it is. i think dgs maybe couldn’t rly get in other sorority’s even tho they wanted to but for dphies they wouldn’t want to be in any other sorority

Dphie is known for being really chill and genuine girls. They embrace diversity and positivity and have a great sisterhood. Dg seems to have a more shallow sisterhood in my opinion but they are very involved with their philanthropies (more than dphie is) if you’re into that

@the dphie who wrote the two comments above: it’s embarrassing how frequently and how causally you bash other houses to boost your own

They’re pretty similar in terms of vibes. I‘d say that DPHIE is more involved with their philanthropies as well as other philanthropies compared to DG but I know a ton of girls in both sororities and they’re pretty similar girls. DG is more well-known and they like to consider their rank/tier but I don’t think DPHIE cares about that. Besides that, being in a sorority is what you make of it. The amount you put in is what you’ll get out so if you accept a bid from a house, if you put in effort to make friends, attend events, etc, you’ll have a good experience. If you base things solely off of other people’s opinions/experiences, you’re wasting your time being in Greek life because it’s more than an image.

also to add, although they have similar vibes, they’re also super different because every house has its unique things about them. if you go kd for example you’ll have a different experience than you’d get at axo and a different experience from sdt and from zta, so again, the sorority you end up at will give you a unique experience

I'm a little curious about your statement about DPhiE being more involved in their philanthropy. I can't speak on them, but the UGA DGs complete more service hours than any other chapter in the country and log more hours than any other house on campus. They even have a designated room in the house for guide dogs because they raise one every single year.

I'm sure DPhiE takes there philanthropy pretty seriously (I'm a big fan) but as someone with a lot of knowledge on DG, I found that interesting that their philanthropy wasn't mentioned.

DPhiE using this as an opportunity to bash DG shows more about DPhiE than it does DG. This is a prime example of why pnms need to stay off greekrank. Tons of girls go DPhiE and love it and tons of girls go DG and love it, comparing them is kind of toxic cause you can spin anything either way (example: one person above saying dg is more committed to philanthropy and the other saying dphie is more committed! Why can’t they both be committed to their own philanthropy’s exclusive of one another?). This goes for any house vs another, just go through rush and make your own opinions, it’ll all work out.

I hate to comment cause it bumps this post again, but that had to be said! Comparison is the thief of joy!

Although it could also be a plant by DG to make DPhiE look bad by faking this post and falsely accusing DPhiE of bashing DG

I honestly don't think there are too many DPhiE's around on GreekRank. Way more DGs post here

I’m in dphie and not sure why someone would use GR to compare our houses? Get to know us during rush.

There isn’t a house that is “better”... there is just the house that is right for you.

I have a lot of friends in DG and other sororities and we don’t judge each other’s houses. It all comes down to the best fit for you.

Both are full of extremely wonderful girls, as are all the other houses on campus. These two seem to put a big emphasis on "come as you are," not superficial in the slightest. Big fan of both houses.

Both houses have really down to earth accepting girls. I’m in one of them (won’t say which) and I know they have socials with roughly the same frats. A lot of women will end up preffing DG and dphie because they are similar, so when rushing I just suggest seeing who you clock with more!!
