by: pnmHow important are recs at UGA? I just heard that they are really important at other schools and I don't have any right now because I didn't know that they might be important, and no one in my family is in a sorority so I'm new to this.

Recs are very important at UGA. It's a really big and competitive rush. If you try to go through it without recs. there's a high chance you'll get dropped early. Most of the recs I send to UGA are done in the summer, so you still have time to get them together. June and July is fine for people to send them in, but the sooner the better.
