rec letter question

Hey so im rushing in the fall and was just wondering if there was any benefit to submitting more than 1 rec to sororities?? Also do any of the sororities expect reference letters as well?

Try to have two recs for each house if you can. Two is better than one but it might not make a difference anyway. If a house likes and wants you, they will find a rec for you. If you aren't ranked high on their list, a rec or two won't help anyway.

At least for my sorority, we 100% have to have a rec for a PNM in order to offer her a bid. However that’s really just a technicality and we don’t even read the rec letters as far as I know. The only thing we look for is that the alum checked the box on the form that says that she does recommend you for our chapter. We prefer to base our decision off of the impression a pnm makes on our chapter and we couldn’t care less about what some old random alum says who might not even know you.

that rec you need comes from an alumn that writes it on behalf of the sorority that needs it for a pnm that doesn't have one.
