Probably Kappa because all Theta's I ever encounter are clique-y and mean

Both are very pretty, very old-money private school girls. Not kidding, majority are from "proper" backgrounds. Not saying they can't party or have fun, it's just that they have a "North Milledge" rep. I would pick Kappa if you're into the crafty, Lily, SUPER girly thing, and Theta if you're into that stuff a little less? Lik they are super girly too, just not as "EHMAGAWD" as Kappa. Hope this helps, as I'm in neither so I was trying to be objective

any "Old Row" sorority will have this demographic, which isn't a bad thing. ADPi, Phi Mu, Chi O, Theta & Kappa all have generous backgrounds. As for the actual "stereotypical" profile of the chapters here goes accordingly:
ADPi- sweet, primarily in state, girls & very "barbie doll" looking // hangs with: KA, SAEs
Phi Mu- down to earth, rowdy? <- unsure of their "stereotype" // hangs with: KA, Sigma Chi, Fiji
Chi O- down to earth, "chaco wearing", likes out of state? // hangs with: AEPi, Lamda, Fiji
Theta- a little more pretentious, cliquey, and head held high attitude // hangs with: Sigma Chi
Kappa- crazy, "kut-a kut-a gramma" // hangs with: Chi Phi, SAEs, everyone really

Interesting - I'm a member of another old row sorority at UGA - not Kappa or Theta - we, too, have pretty, old-money girls who went to private school - STOP GENERALIZING!

There are no sororities that are tops nationally. If you actually research it you find that for every school where Kappa or Theta are deemed to be "exclusive" and "top tier," there is another school where they are in the "don't pledge if this house is all you have left" category.

not true, Kappa and Theta have mostly top tier chapters, especially Tx, Midwest, Ivy League, West Coast, Calif., most D1 private universities.

Kappa and Theta have strong chapters in all parts of the US. They are strong in Texas, Midwest, West Coast, Ivy League.

Phi Mu - nope only southern schools, and lots of D2 and D3 schools that KAO and KKG would never put chapters

ADPi has lots of chapters, but outside a few southern states, most of their chapters are lower tier

Chi O has mostly strong chapters, except on west coast and Ivy League, also alot of chapters at D2 and D3 schools that KAO and KKG will not put chapters

Please....KKG is not tops nationally-I hear that old song over and over and it sounds like a broken record. People repeat this blindly without having any data to back up the claim. What is the criteria used for determining who is tops nationally-number of chapters founded, number of current active chapters, number of alumnae chapters, number of total initiated members, amount of dollars raised nationally for their philanthropy, national GPA, number of beauty queens, number of neurosurgeons. number of women who get married the week after they graduate from college? See how ridiculous this is?

The fact of the matter is that sorority strength varies from campus to campus, and the sorority that is tops on one campus, could just as easily be the sorority to avoid at all costs at the next campus up the road.
KKG is a fine chapter at UGA, but take a look at some of their other chapters in the same region: FSU, UF, Auburn-let's just say they have room for improvement. Joining a chapter based on the perceived national strength is stupid. You are going to have to live with, dine with, and study with the women on your campus. Don't you think it is better to base your decision on those facts?

All NPC sororities have collegiate chapters all over the country. They have alumnae chapters all over the country. They all do good work for their colleges, for their communities, and for their philanthropies. They are ALL strong.

Kappa is strong nationally along with Pi Phi, Theta, DG. Kappa has chapters at all the top D1 public and private schools, and has more chapters than any other sorority at the top 100 universities in the country. Theta and Kappa have the largest Foundations, Theta has chapters at more Ivy League Schools than any other sorority, and Kappa has closed the fewest chapters of any NPC group.

In the south Kappa is top tier at Arkansas, Virginia, William & Mary, Washington & Lee, Wake Forest, Duke, Clemson, Vanderbilt, Georgia, Alabama, Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, West Virginia, Missouri.

Kappa is strong nationally based on what? The campuses they are on? So the chapter can be bottom rung, but they are the best nationally because they are at Harvard? Um...yeah...keep chanting that mantra.

half of those schools you listed, they aren't top tier or even middle. where are you getting your info? Pictures? Facebooks? If you're not in that chapter, you have no idea what the hell you're talking about.
