from an outsiders perspective

kd: good looking, go out a lot, kinda crazy

gphi: blonde, stuck up, seem very cliquey, go out A LOT

adpi: sweet, pretty girls, seems like they have fun events

dg: a lot of nursing majors, smart, that's all I really hear about them

zeta: really chill and laid back, you don't really hear anything bad about them

phi mu: newer, the girls seem sweet and fun

theta: kind of a weird mix of girls, some are awkward and some are normal

kd: older girls in the sorority are super fun but recent pledge classes have been cliquey and dont really get along well with each other

gphi: stereotypical blondes, black out a lot, fun but shallow

adpi: the typical “girl next door”. most are really nice but have a reputation for being fake

dg: some of the girls are nerdy but they have a really strong sisterhood

zeta: mind their own business, no one really knows much about them, they do a really great job with philanthropy

phi mu: still on the lower end but their pledge class gets better each year

theta: not typical sorority girls, can be kinda weird, some are really genuine girls though

kd: live up to their stereotype of partying hard, recruit really hard from saint louis

gphi: know they are the stereotypical blondes and have fun with it, this years pledge class was especially wild, they recruit really well

adpi: go out plenty, a cool mix of different kinds of girls, recruit very well

dg: some people call them delta grammas, they are involved on campus but def not wild, but they are smart girls

zeta: quirky group of girls, they mind their own business but are all very nice

phi mu: newer on campus so they are a mix of girls but their pledge classes get better and bigger every year

theta: also kind of newer on campus, they don't really act like a sorority, some very nice girls

Hi!! I'm so glad you're going to slu and rushing in the fall!
I think that these replies have some accuracy but to be honest, this website can ruin your idea of sororities. The best thing to do is go through recruitment with an open mind and form your own opinion on the chapters. And if you are still struggling there will be recruitment counselors to help you make the best decision for you!

kd: confident and cool, some are a bit stuck up

gphi: cool, but they all drop out (of gphi) by senior year

adpi: they're all "blonde" and nurses, very involved, care about their philanthropy

dg: all very smart, chaco girls but also preppy

zeta: people don't expect these girls to be in sororities, they're just kinda there, nice people

phi mu: cool, try-hards, care a lot about dance marathon and kids

theta: they're a good time, underrated, work too hard at school, smaller

I'm not in a sorority but here are the vibes I get :)
ADPI: blonde, mostly from St. Louis area, pretty
GPHI: big partiers, "top tier", that’s all I can say about them
KD: kinda insane kinda hot
DG: chacos, kinda preppy, really involved
Zeta: same as DG but blonder and quieter
Theta: eclectic bunch of girls but really cool and kind
Phi mu: kinda like theta but bigger. Underrated!!

all sororities at slu are good sororities! seriously!!

adpi: seem cute and fun but can be cliquey within pledge classes
dg: always have top gpa, good sisterhood
gphi: blonde partiers, most drop by senior year
kd: fun and energetic but try too hard to be cool
phi mu: try-hard since they're still new, big mix of girls
theta: weird girls
zeta: kinda boring but nice, passionate about philanthropy

I used to be in greek life at SLU here are the rankings/stereotypes:
It is important to note that there are good people in each sorority and wherever you go you will be happy. When I say top tier I mean in regards to social scenes.

kd: crazy, fun, party a lot "top tier"
gphi: party a lot, blonde, fun"top tier"
adpi: nurse, blonde, pretty "top tier"
zeta: nice, smart, very passionate ab philanthropy
dg: best GPA, preppy, nice
phi mu: new on campus, growing, passionate about philanthropy
theta: smart, nice, not typical sorority girls (but that's not a bad thing)

Again!! All of the sororities are amazing and you should just go into it with an open mind - not hoping for any one in particular. Each sorority has strong and independent women!!

As someone who is in the greek scene, here are the perceptions I had with the sororities.

kd: really pretty gals, party a lot, go 'all out'

gphi: very blonde, know a lot of POC that had problematic interactions with gphi gals so idk, party a lot

adpi: really kind and sweet, super pretty, a little clique, the type of sorority you would down south

dg: preppy and nice gals, high GPA for the chapter, don't party that much

zeta: chill girls that kinda are there vibing, fun to have girls nights with, love their philanthropy

phi mu: a new sorority that tries somewhat hard, some wierdos that I personally don't vibe with, some rlly nice gals though

theta: smaller but the sisterhood is super close, really nice, there are a few nerdy gals but alot of them are chill and fun to party with
