Greek Life House Parties

Since LSU banned having parties within the houses, the scene has been more of a letdown with parties and events being hosted at the usual Tigerland and small venues. Will this change anytime soon?

House parties aren’t banned.

According to some sources they are not allowed. The preference is to have the party anywhere besides the house. This is the usual case, unless there is a planned and discussed exemption.

House parties are permitted, but have to be in compliance with LSU’s policies which are basically: LSUPD as security, 3rd party vendor serving alcohol (beer and wine only), and 1:3 ratio of members to guests. Between the costs, rules, and liability of having on campus events with alcohol most opt to do as little as possible at the actual fraternity houses.

I think TKE and Sigma Nu both had on campus events last fall but they were date events
