If you maximize ALL of your invites EVERY day it is rare to not get a bid. IF you think you will only accept a couple of houses you ruin those odds. Plus if a house doesn't want you why do you want them?

Almost no one receives no bid. If you are a decent candidate and take all your invites you will be fine.

If you accept all your invites and are receptive and respectful you will get a bid. Never suicide and never have an attitude and things will work out.

I think you should give your legacy house more than one day.

Agreed/you get a second guaranteed invite the second day and it would be dumb to not use it. You cannot tell much about any house in the first quick visit.

I agree.. Only drop your legacy house the first day if you already know you won't accept a bid from them. Some girls have been to legacy weekends and have grown up attending functions there and know it's not a fit for them. Sometimes other houses will drop you because they assume (regardless of what you say) that you'll end up in your legacy house. It's easier if they know you're going to decide on your own right from the first.

You can set yourself up to fail by thinking you know OUR houses and that you would only accept a certain bid. If you are rude to ANY house word will get around and you will not be ranked high by anyone. Remember our girls have a home, you don't. Be respectful and open minded to every group and you should be fine.

The number of bids has nothing to do with the increasing number of PNMs. Bid quota is determined by the number of PNMs who turn in bid cards after preference divided by the number of sororities. More PNMs means a bigger quota.

Very very few people are completely dropped before preference. If you make it to preference, you will get a bid! It might not be the sorority you want, but those who keep an open mind will have the chance to experience a wonderful sisterhood.

Most of the people who claim they were dropped really dropped out themselves because they are too stuck up to keep their minds open. Only a few truly horrible or weird girls get completely dropped.

PNMs, keep an open heart and mind and you will finda sisterhood!

Me is 100% correct. If there are more PNMs then the pledge classes will just be bigger. That is why Alabama, Ole Miss and Arkansas have pledge classes that are around 100. Fraternities can make their pledge classes whatever size they want them to be. Sororities set their pledge class size based on the number of PNMs who attend pref.

You were spot on when you questioned that those without bids "quit." Every single year you have girls who say they are focusing on only a handful of sororities. When they get cut by those chapters their emotions get the best of them and they can't continue on because they are sobbing too much to attend the parties.

Know that this is TCU. You may have been popular in high school but that doesn't mean you will be top tier here. Be open to all of our amazing sororities.

If you get no bid you must have really messed up because as stated the larger number of members bump up the size each house can take. A much more common occurrence is someone being rude in a house they think they don't want and then getting cut while the house they thought they had to had already removed them from their invite list for the next day. Remember your homeless and every girl in every house isn't-act like it.
