should i bother to go through rush?
by: Size 22Large and in Charge girl here. I'm pretty popular here in HS, but I've been told TCU is a whole different ball game (I'm headed to TCU cause I got a scholarship and for my major - otherwise I'd go public). Anywho....is Rush a waste of time for me?

TCU has a huge Greek influence. BUT, it is not the only influence. I am a horned frog till I die and I never went Greek. Some of my life-long friends were Greek, but most were not. I love my alma mater, but the Greek system there, in my opinion, is the weakness of the school. Inherently, it goes against Christian values. Thank goodness this is not the only aspect that defines TCU.

If you are a goid, gifted and kind person, our Greek system would benefit from you being a part of it. Do guard your heart if you have some negative experiences. We all have stories of someone nit making you feel great but this too shall pass and once you have a class of sisters to support you; you will never regret putting yourself out there.

People should stop fixating on what the "norm" for size is here. If you look around you can find every size represented. Will being a bigger girl make recruitment harder? It is likely at size 22 you will find some groups less inviting to you. Will you fail miserably at recruitment? That depends on how put together, personable, well recommended and impressive your high school accomplishments. Every girl going through recruitment has things going for her and things that are not helpful. It's called life and your size is only one aspect of who you are.

Creepy that an old non-Greek would be trolling a college Greek site.
