People call all kinds of things 'dirty rush' that are not. If members already know people from high school or camp or hometown or whatever before rush. That's not dirty rush but people like to call it that because they think it's an unfair advantage. That is stupid thinking because no one can unknow someone or not already have an opinion on someone they have met before. And that's not considered dirty rush by panhellenic.
What is actual dirty rush would be reaching out to total strangers to try to rush them before rush. So is a bunch of other things. For the real truth on you can go to tcupanhellenic . com and click on the Recruitment tab and then on Rules. It will tell you everything you want to know. Anything under the Not Allowed list is actual dirty rushing and chapters that get caught will be in trouble.

Dirty rushing can also be when you know someone in the sorority and during rush they have the president or themselves come up to you and “personally thank you for being there and they’re specifically looking forward to seeing you (your name) and it makes you think you will get a bid sometimes do sometimes don’t.

Yeah, if they say they are looking forward to seeing you at the next round it's dirty rushing or if they tell you that you'd be a great fit in their chapter. Also if you have multiple actives talking to you at once it's dirty rushing (hot boxing). Remember that members are doing their best to make everyone feel special so they will want to keep coming back, but the actual invitation list to the next round is a chapter decision and no individual or small group speaks for the entire chapter. There are lines that shouldn't be crossed but it happens.
