Who actually cares where you are from is the real question. There are people from all over the United States at TCU, and just cause you are from a certain town in the houston area won't really matter unless someone from a sorority or fraternity used to live there or your trying to get into the Texas fraternity/sorority...

If they are so shallow your town matters ( yes there is one group known for this) you don't want them because there are too many other excellent choices.

There may be a sprinkling of chapters that put a lot of emphasis on where you are from but over half our student body is now put of state and these stereotypes are not as true as they used to be. Even the "Texas" groups have members from everywhere.

Probably the only house that will care about this is Tri Delt. They ask you where you're from and what your parents do for a living during recruitment. Other than that I have never heard of a chapter caring where you are from. It's more about your personality
