too old to rush?

Hey everyone...I'm coming to TCU after graduating from an SEC school last year. I'll be 24 this fall, and totally new to FTW. I figured it would be a great way to make friends, and regret I didn't do it at my previous school. But let's be real...I'm pretty old. Anyone encountered a situation like this? Advice?
