How prominent is Greek life on campus? Will I like it here if I don't rush? Will I have friends if im a GDI?

Greek live RUNS campus. If you're a GDI, you'll probably have no fun. You can still make friends, but you won't have those networking opportunities in the future.

There are many other organizations on campus you can get involved with plus you will make friends in your classes. Greek life is huge here so I would encourage you to consider giving recruitment a try. Either way, I have known people that thrived and enjoyed TCU, Greek or not. Welcome : )

You can thrive without being Greek here but you will miss out on a huge part of our campus life. I would strongly advise you to give recruitment a try at least.

If Greek isn't your thing then there are tons of other groups: Christian groups, groups that celebrate culture, groups that plan events on campus, groups for almost every major. Another words, you can plug in somewhere. If you don't you won't like TCU or any university. You get out of it what you put in and it won't feel like home if you aren't attached.

Many do just fine without going Greek but it is such a huge part of campus life here that i would strongly encourage you to at least try recruitment
