Media/TV Greek Life Connections
by: 24I know Penn has a large representation in journalism and TV but there usually are very few media/TV jobs available compared to candidate pool size. How favorable would GL connections be in getting a backstage or writing job and which frats and srats usually have more creative types that feed into journalism and TV? I'

why is joining a frat your go to here? if you wanna work in journalism, do journalism. join the dp or 34th street. almost all of the journalists from penn cycled through a dp organization.
history is fine, major doesnt really matter as long as you understand reporting / your beat
if youre more entertainment focused, get involved with the cims department. greek life wont get you very far outside of consulting/finance/tech connections, especially if youre a guy

Yeah I’m a guy... I mean I def am curious about Greek life at Penn, wouldn’t mind joining a more chill house but was looking to see if specific frats or srats take more creative or writer types.
