There are some decent mid lower tier frats that might not be the coolest guys on campus but definitely have fun. Phi and tep come to mind. There are also some that are just nice guys who aren’t they social or good looking like Phi Delt.

Yeah dude. It’s worth it. Don’t get caught up in the social validation. You’ll be fine.

At the end of the day mixing with mid/low tier sororities like SDT/SK for example is still gonna beat being a gdi by a long shot because they’re still really fun girls and you’ll have little else to do second semester when it’s more mixers and fewer open parties. It’s also a great way to put yourself out there and meet a ton of new people so I don’t think you can go wrong.

Mess you up socially in terms of what specifically?
If you have friends not pledging or a tight group through sports/club without Greek you can chill with them ( parties are closed until spring so you won’t be going), but if you don’t it will be rough because pledging/social of frats takes up most of those guys time, with the small remainder going to classes/studying. Not sure which ones you’re referring to but few frats do fall rush and most of those won’t bid a guy who didn’t get a decent bid the year before. If you like the guys where you have the bid, take it, gives you a group and a place to live. If u have friends with bids at places you didn’t rush or get cut, u can ask them to inquire about a snap bid
