sae and kappa sig

I'm going to be a freshman next year and I want to join a fraternity. I have a buddy who goes to an SEC school and says kappa sig and SAE are the top houses there and are very difficult to get into. Was SAE and is Kappa Sig like that at Iowa state?

SAE was kind of like a wannabe pike and Sig Ep and kappa Sig is nowhere near top so maybe look elsewhere?

You literally can't join SAE here because it's not a chapter at ISU anymore. Kappa Sig isn't even a big house. You have to realize that just because a Fraternity or Sorority is good at one school doesn't mean they're good at another. You need to focus on what the chapters are like at ISU if that's where you are going, it doesn't matter what they are like at some random other school.
