I will be rushing in the fall and I'm just curious how accepting the sororities abd the campus are in general.

This exact same question popped up on other schools GR pages too. Either there are a lot of lesbians going through rush in the south this year, or the GreekRank folks are keeping busy playing you fools.

I'm cracking up at how easy it is for the GreekRank folks to stir your simple minds into a frenzy - and to keep it going for almost a year!
They posted this on a bunch of schools pages during rush last year. We're in college. Y'all should be grown up enough to recognize when you're being set up. But, the idiots just jump in a take the bait over, and over, and over again.

Be honest about it so you get into a sisterhood that appreciates you for you. While I'm not comfortable with that, I'm sure there's a house on campus that is!

Thanks for not posting hate. Like the majority of replies. I don't have a girlfriend and I've taken good guy friends to everything (dances, weddings...) So thats not a problem. I'm not a flannel wearing, rainbow toting activist or anything. I have long hair, love make up and dresses

If you're fine with living a secret life and hiding who you really are then fine, but the truth is, Ole Miss (AND ITS ALUMNAE) just isn't ready for 'out' lesbians in its Greek system.

You should be fine, you can pretty much tell which houses are going to like you for you going through rush. As long as you keep your relationships and your sisters separate (which is true for anyone who knows how awkward it can be to date your friends) because you'll be around them for four years, it should be okay. Historically top houses aren't known for being as accepting of people who are different (in any way) but it may change over time, who knows.
