rec letters
by: PNMI have tried my absolute best to get rec letters for formal recruitment but I couldn't get very many. Will this affect me a lot during rush? A girl I went to high school with said sororities will automatically drop me if I don't have two rec letters for any house

Most sororities, if not every sorority, has rules their nationals will force them to abide by. If their nationals do not have a Rec policy in place, the local chapters do. They cannot give you a bid without a Rec, no matter how much they love you!
An exception would be if they really really love you they might call their alumni association from your hometown and ask them to write one for you. You may never know this has gone on behind the scenes. However, most sororities already have full bid lists and are looking for reasons to shorten those lists. No rec is an easy way to make cuts.
Honestly, finding recs is not that hard if you put a little work into it.
